Does anyone know anything about the Qu-ax cross 24" special edition?
It is lighter than the Muni and the Cross but is it as durable?
Is it the old muni frame or is it a total different model?
Can it be handled as the Muni or is it as weak as the Cross?
Hello.
I have this unicycle, minus the brake it is the same as the one in your avatar picture. I’ve also upgraded to the black CroMo ISIS cranks.
I’ve had it for a couple years now, I’ve ridden it at events like Moab MuniFest and NAUCC. It is very light for a 24X3 muni, and I will say it is plenty durable. I ride it hard just like I would any other strong muni and it is still in perfect shape.
Now, it is ISIS splined, but it has the (red) “light” ISIS hub, which will not be quite as strong as the Trial hub (yellow). However I’ve tested it with drops and muni and I do not expect it to break or bend any time soon.
I’m not sure what you mean about the frame… It IS different from the other Trials and Muni frames (Black). This silver frame is aluminum so it is lighter, but it is also beefier for more strength. It’s kind of big, but it is a good frame.
So in conclusion, yes it is strong and durable for muni, but not quite as strong as the regular yellow/black muni. If you do HUGE drops or have bad landings you could eventually bend the hub. Otherwise I say go for it.
I hope that was what you where looking for, if you still have questions I’ll try my best to help.
No problem, it’s just that, the category called Rec. Sport. Unicycling is where anything unicycle related stuff goes. Here in Just Conversation you talk about… anything but unicycles.
