Q about SixSixOne sizing

I’m up for buying some SixSixOne “Knee and shin armor” and “Elbow and
forearm armor” from unicycle.com. Using their sizing guidelines, I come
up with LARGE.

I am just an average-sized guy – 5’ 9", 150 pounds. I don’t lift
weights. If LARGE is the right size for me, what does an actual large
person wear?

You can get custom sizes and colours from roach.

Roach.

When I bought 661’s a little over a year ago, I got large based on the measurements on the website, but had to send them back and get mediums. Those fit much better, but were a little on the short side. Those were the 661’s with the plastic knee and shin guards on the outside.
I have since shredded the 661’s and now have Roaches and the large size fits fine, but barely squeezes down small enough. The length is great. I am 5’11", 175 lb. Anyone with long, thin legs like me would do well to get a custom size.
Call unicycle.com and ask them. They should know from the exchanges how the sizes run.

Scott Wallis

i bought six six ones just about two weeks ago and i got mediums but they are a little on the short side. i am 6’ 1" and 140 lbs, so its very hard to find my size but these seem to work okay, i cut off some ankle gaurds from my soccer shin gaurds to wear to keep my ankles from gettin bruised and it all seems to work okay. Im thinking about just paying extra and getting roach with custom sizing next time.

I bought 661 recently because Dylan, who is taller than me, said the large fit him OK. He is now in the Roach camp as you can see, I think because he shredded the 661’s pretty quickly. Dylan is a real rider and I’m a weenie hack so I don’t expect to rip them up.

I’m 6’2" or have shrunk to 6’1" or so. I have long legs, 35" inseam. I would like the 661’s that I have to be about an inch longer but no more. I think the large would be too big for you unless, of course, you’re from Texas. Gruss and Wallis and those guys wear protective gear that you could drive a pickup truck into and have a tailgate party. But they’re Texas boys.

I’ve got large 661’s and i’m 5’11" and about 60kg. The length is perfect for me and the width around the calves is just a little on the wide side but still very comfortable. I’ve got reasonably small calves. There are a couple of photos in the Product Review Forum of my 661’s if you’re interested.

Similar size to me. I’m very happy with the large 4x4 knee and shin armour.

It’s important that the pads aren’t too short - they’ll just slide down
and leave your knees exposed at the critical moment.

They wear large too - but they don’t fit quite as well.

I am 6’0" and 160 lbs. I have the large 661’s. The width is fine. The
length is fine too but I could use another half inch or so.

Thanks to the group for all the info.

Sounds like the large SixSixOnes would do the job.

Also sounds like I would be better off with the Roaches.
