for my A Level art i chose to study psychedelic art and i decided that instead of doing art reflecting drugs like LSD etc i figured that coz i don’t take LSD and stuff i can’t really relate to it and personl art should be understood by the artist, so i decided on juggling instead which like drugs is an addication but a slightlymore healthy one!i based my designs and the idea that when juggling the juggler is so absorbed in their juggling that they appear almost trance -like and drift off into another world, these painting were supposed to reflect thiseuphoric state of a happy juggler absorbed in their juggling.
no idea what my art teachers gonna think of them but i was wondering if maybe u wouldn’t mind me asking for comments/critiscsim and opinionson them as i am undecided whether to do anymore, your opionion etc would be much appreicated
Your art is radical. Although I, personally, wouldn’t call it psychedelic. Psychedelic art usually had a lot of finite detail that creates an illusion, and stuff.
Psychedelic: Of, characterized by, or generating hallucinations, distortions of perception, altered states of awareness, and occasionally states resembling psychosis.
See how this one has a bunch of swirlyness and flowers and little stuff popping out that really isn’t there? Needs more of that. Like, all of the solid color areas in your art could easily be filled with many gradients, objects and lines that while aren’t part of the big picture, create psychedelia.
If I were to make some sort of psychedelic unicycle picture, my body would flow into the unicycle(Jeans into the saddle, leg hairs into spokes, shoes into tires) and all sorts of trippy junk.
