Hi Unicyclists around the World!
Here’s your first part of the new proposed IUF Rule Book in electronic form. No
fancy formatting, just the facts, well maybe not quite. Since this is not yet an
official document, I corrected some minor mistakes and reworded things a bit,
while trying to keep to the original style of the document. (The current version
of the official rule book is nearly 5 years old.)
On with the rules, before Christmas passes us by …
DESCRIPTIONS OF SKILLS FOR UNICYCLING COMPETITION
The following descriptions are meant to explain the correct way to execute the

If the illustrations and descriptions disagree, the descriptions always apply.

END OF ALL RIDING SKILLS
The following unicycling skill description lists will be sent some time in
the future:
-
STATIONARY SKILLS (such as idling, hopping and spinning, etc.)
-
TRANSITIONS (from one skill to another; only the ones worth points in
standard skill competition; there are countless more.) -
MOUNTS (Again only those worth points in standard skill competition.)
Sometime thereafter, the actual rules for STANDARD SKILL competition and the
UNICYCLING SKILLS SCORES themselves will be sent.
FUN EXERCISE: Without prior knowledge of the scores, other than the lowest score
is 1.0 and the highest score is 6.5, score the skills above down to tenths of a
point and see how close you get to the official ones. (These scores have
remained the same for five years or more!)
