:uni: Propose unicycling photos (and text) to be displayed on the homepage for visitors

I don’t have issues with showing freestyle with no helmet, tho (it’s a bit less risky than muni or trial, I’d say… ).

That was exactly what I was thinking.

When I showed the vid of me riding the UW to my Danish colleagues they also asked why I didn’t wear a helmet. Cyclists in NL, not even kids need to have helmets on. Dutchies don’t care so much for helmets, but in Denmark most bike riders wear bikes. At least many more than in NL.

So have a go at AI to draw a helmet on some of the dangerous peeps

Great choice, but clearly you guys are into Muni mainly, right?
I think, from a “marketing” (with quotes as I hate this word) point of view, that a banner should be generic enough yet intriguing, to have a broader appeal. If I’m a parent or a young girl and I see those beefy guys jumping mountains, I’m going to run away. Those 3 are the best for this, in my opinion. They have the right distance from the riders, which helps with identifying with them, and they are very intriguing yet not scary.

You’re totally right, quiet some disciplines are missing, i.e. the whole International Unicycling Federation (IUF) stuff. I just took what was posted here, so maybe it’s part of the problem we have. I don’t even have a muni or hills. 36" is muni enough here.

I’ve picked 40 pictures from all you selected. There’s no freestyle in it but that doesn’t matter.

Some of the authors have not posted for more than 10 years, but as long as their email is valid, they should receive a notification if I mention them.

I could create a new topic as a wiki, with a author column, a picture colum and a “agree” column that people can fill in. after a few days or week we see who agreed so we can use these pictures.

It’s a bit of a hassle, but I don’t find any better way. Any idea?

There is a way to turn off email notifications if you’re mentioned.
These people might have this setting on.

I think most of them haven’t logged in since the forum migration so unless they got an email notification for some reason and disabled them from the email link, they should receive them.

Great collection, amazing photos! But if the forum should invite more beginners in, there should not be an overload of photos showing experts/very experienced riders (just my opinion).
