ProjectUNI in need of several testers.

Brian and I have decided that we want to try and port ProjectUNI over to a more powerful engine. However before we do so we want to make sure the majority of the community will be able to play it ( sorry still no OSX support).

We are looking for about 3-5 testers who represent the users with low end computers.

If you are interested in helping please email me at david.abfall@gmail with your computer specs, or you can just post them here.

i dont thing a dual core vista with 2gb ram is low end is it:( shame

Well it mostly depends on your graphics card, but I am guessing you have a somewhat decent one.

Me!

Alright post your computer specs, and once I get the files up I will PM you a link.

dont know for a new computer it plays up very often (every time i turn the computer on it warps the screen)

I dont know my specs but i havent upgraded anything at all…it just a plain old HP computer…

Well for this to be of benefit to us we need to know your basic information.

For anyone willing to test this is how to find the information out.

Graphics Card:

Right click on any empty space on your desktop, then click on properties. That will open a new window with several tabs. Go to the settings tab and your graphics card will be listed under Display.

Processor and Ram:

Right click on “My computer” and then go to properties. This will open a new window with several tabs. The one that opens up should have all your information on it.

I’m in.

1.73 GHz
512 mb ram
A shitty on-board card, dunno even if it even has a name

when i right click my desk top…properties isnt there…

Are you using Vista?

yesser

I am not familiar with Vista so maybe someone else can explain it better, but I found this.

“For Vista, you get the “Personalize” option in the context menu. This replaces the Display Properties in XP”

I wouldn’t mind having a crack:

Pentium 3.3GHz processor
1.5 Gb RAM
NVidia GeoForce FX 5200
win xp pro

it was moderate spec four years ago (except i stuck another gig of ram in recently) so i guess would be low spec by now, I have no idea what’s on offer these days

or… to learn your specs you can click start, click “Run…” on the right then in the box type “dxdiag” without the quotes. This will open up the direct x diagnostic tool. Click on the display tab on the top and this will tell you what graphics card is currently running on your setup.

i know noting about it…i did the dxdiag thing…i dont know what to look for thiough

using the dxdiag program click the save all information button then PM the contents of the txt file it creates, thanks.

okay!

1ghz processor
1gig of ram. I can take it back out to 512 for this test though. Or 256.
128mb graphic card.

I have two other comps I can build up and use too. One has a 700mhz processor that is overclocked, but I can test the game at the original settings. It would have the same specs as above, but just the processor will be different.

Let me know if I can help.

I had a p4 2.4Gz w/ a 6 year old Nvidia card, but I just pulled the XP drive out of it to install as a Linux drive on my beast machine
