Profile vs. Onza

Hey folks,

what do you think about the different’s beetween the Profile and the Onza hub (and crankset)? Are there any quality differents, which are important. A big argument is the lower price of the Onza product…

thanks
_Felix

one of the major differants is going to be the seat tube size.

Norco will be 27.2
Onza will be 22.2

the Onza frame is just a NimbusII frame thats painted black.

Thanks for the insite, but he was asking about the Hub/Cranksets between Onza and Profile

I wish I had more knoledge on the subject. I will probably invest in a new Splined crankset soon so I can attempt bigger drops and not destroy stuff.

man that norco spinted crank set is going to die a evil death… unless there is no warrenity on it

but i’ll see just how tough these slpinted cranks are… sigh i hate braking crap arrrrrrrgggggg i can’t epress my anger through typing

the norco is said to be a two peice design which joins in the middle, sounds weird but apparently kris says its good. i haven’t even seen a picture of one yet.

the onza is a good strong hub but not indestrucable, there have been some casualties, but by people who ride verry verry hard

both from what i’ve heard are very good but not as good as profiles. and well, much cheaper.

i intend to build an 24" muni this winter and i’ll hope to use one of these new hubs.

I was in Super Cycles (Onza) today and I asked them about supplying the hub and cranks (for my Muni), which they said they probably could. He had some 140 and 175 cranks in and he showed me some nice chrome 160’s although I like 150’s. I want to have a chat to Roger about it this weekend but I’m not in a rush to get a new wheel just yet (my son wants an Onza and a giraffe).

I tried out the Onza trials unicycle in the shop and as no-one there could unicycle I enlightened them about Muni, as it happens the two in the shop ride off road in the same place I do (though they still need another wheel).

Cheers, Gary

is norco and onza issueing warrenties for their hubs?

Does anybody know if the splined hub is going to be an ISIS splined hub or other type? I was wondering about crank arm options…

I think it will be a IDHAFC splined hub

hehehe, nice.

The lifetime warranty on the Profile is on the axle and cranks only - not on the hub itself, which has a 90-day warranty. This is the Profile Racing warranty; not sure about uni.com’s approach in practice.

where are the onza hub/cranks available? i can’t find em any where!

i was going to get an onza hub a while back but there was a delay in the shipping so i got a profile instead.

all i know is that roger was expecting some onza hubs at some point this year

anyone have any real info on the norco?.
has anybody even seen one?

i heard its going to be a 2 pice cranks which suck a*s heres a thread on it http://www.unicyclist.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20694 if i ever bent 1 crank i would have to buy a new hub too

Has anyone ever broken a profile hub or axle??? And if so, then what stunt did you distroy it on???
