I figured that instead of people posting a new thread for each question on a product they have, they could post them here! i doubt this will work

My question is about getting a new saddle.

  1. I could get a 09 KH with a CF base but that will defeat all of the new updates of a 09
  2. Upgrade my 08 with a CF base
  3. Get a 09 with stiffner plate then use the extra money to get some plastic pedals and a Try-All tire and some stuff to make my uni more pretty!
    What do you think!

Option 2. You just wont have the newer hub design.

The CF base is very cool but it does take some setting up. Sure would be handy if it shipped with a paper/card template for marking out holes etc.

If I was in the market for seat upgrade atm I’d probably wait for the KH09 seats to be available and see how that shakes down before deciding either way.

Yea bedford has CF bases ready to go with bolts and holes drilled already!

I was just mentioning the hub as I know you have the 08 wheelset, an then all the rest is 07. The only difference between your uni and the latest products will be your frame, and hub. (I dont remember if you also have an 08 rim. if not, theres a slight change there too.)

So going to a CF base, which is going to be stronger, and most likely lighter than the new KH base, will leave you with a uni that has all the latest parts. Or at least until the new parts are available at stores.

I still stand by option b.

If your rich and want the tiny extras, going for option 1 wouldnt hurt either. B would just be more simple.

Yep, looks fine. You wont be finding too much cheaper than that. Might look on ebay just to be sure though. Pretty much every local bike shop can order a Torker, so seeing what deal they can get you wont hurt either.

Does anyone have experiance with sand blasting.
I wanna change the color of my KH and I can sandblast it at school.
But willit make my frame weaker?

No all sandblasting does is remove the paint though I suppose if you went at it long enough it would signifigantly weaken the frame (days/ weeks maybe?).
And I agree with Jerrick go with option 2.

Now I have a question!
Should I go with the SW CF base or the UDC/Bedford one?
I won’t be getting one until mine breaks or is to bendy BTW.
