i just got my torker lx(finally!), but when i try to hop w/ it, it makes the inside of my legs raw. and when i got back form riding, the next day, i got this wierd sore on my back. when i move my neck, it hurts. anyone got any idea wat i could do 2 fix this
If you had no problem before hopping it could be your seat…
My Torker DX seat gave me a rash when I hopped, so I got a KH Fusion cover for it and cut my foam down.
was it just a sore muscle in your back, because that happens
my back was way tired today because of MUNI-ing
you can do a few things
get bicycle shorts
get vaseline and rub it on your legs
get anti-rash-deodorant stick thigy
or you can get used to it and not make it a problem anymore
also, if my seat is in a certain position then it gives me rashes, but when I tilt it back more it doesn’t give me any trouble
hope I helped
- Bike shorts.
- More practice…take more breaks, stretch before/after practice
1.) Better thread title for clarity
2.) Straight seat
3.) Bike shorts to reduce friction
4.) Smooth hops to reduce back stress
5.) Switch hands to balance muscle use
6.) Flex spine to reduce back strain
i just got my lx and im having no probs except for the pedal breaking off and a horrible sore on my ineer thigh crotch area
the back pain might also be because the seat is too low. if you have to bend your back to comfortably hold your seat, your back will start hurting.
thanks guys!
Also try compression shorts. They are made of nylon and spandex so they fit tight on your leg. The rubbing takes place against the shorts instead of your skin. You can get them in the sports department at Walmart for about $11. Compression shorts do not have padding in the crotch like bicycle shorts.
Yeah, when i was first learning on my…well alex’s cx, the seat was WAY to low and my back always started hurting, and i was always really hunched over while riding. See if raising the seat helps.
