My mactop isnt working right, it says there isnt an airport card installed, even though it was working right last night, obviously it got disconnected somehow, but does anyone know where the airport card is located? i tihnk its under the keyboard but i just want to check.
Mac sucks. Hahahaha.
What kind of powerbook do you have? I have a 12" and mine can be removed by first removing my battery and sliding it out.
i could be completely wrong, but i don’t think they’d change the location between a 12 inch model and and larger model
by the way, if your airport card isn’t working, how are you on the forums (not that I don’t believe you, just curious)
i have a 17 inch, i already tried that, no good. da doofus: im using my dads desktop comp
i you can give me a reasonable reason ill buy a windows :|. i think its all about personal prefrences and needs.
i got it figgereed out, i just used my xbox live wireless connector ethrenet thingy
You figured something out, but you didn’t really solve the problem? I suppose you don’t have applecare ?
Have you checked to make sure that the airport is turned on in Internet Connect? If it is turned off then you will not see any signal from any base station no matter how strong the signal is. If it’s not turned off then try looking under the keyboard. I think that may be where it’s at on the 17" powerbook, but I haven’t found any information as to where it is on the larger model yet. I’ll keep looking…
EDIT: I found the user manual for the 17" powerbook G4 on Apple’s website but didn’t really take the time to read through it all I hope you find what you need in it. (be warned it’s about 2.6 MB so it will take forever to load when you cliock the link if your internet is the same speed as mine or slower)
yeah checked, just says theres no hardware. oh well if it doesnt work im just going to ask my dad for an 12" ibook (my love)
