just wondering is any one into kite buggying/ surfing ?
No buggies for me. It would be scary to ‘‘get air’’ on a 4-wheeler. Here’s a thread about kites.
Kite Stories
I used to buggy but then moved to boarding because I didnt like the idea of strapping myself to the buggy to get air. I am ok on a board, just starting to get some good jumps, havnt been kiting for ages though. I windsurf quite a bit and am fairly good, can jump a little and can carve gybe. I also sail dingys lots and have a hobie tiger which I am hoping to get into some racing with with a friend crewing for me.
Kite bugging looks like great fun! I went to a Kitting weekend and there were loads of people with buggies, but me and my friend only had a small power kite and mountain board… and I cant ride boards to save my life lol. Ive considered getting a buggy and kite, but not likely to be in the near future at all
I used to be really into kiteboarding and a bit of the bugging too. Had some great weekends away with the local kite flyers but havnt done it much for the last couple of years. Going to sell one of my kites to get some cash toward my UNICON trip actually. Ozone Frenzy 03 9.5m in blue and yellow, well used but well looked after. PM me if interested (UK only please).

There are a fair number of kiteboarders around Saskatoon SK. They have their own kiting forum at www.escapesports.ca
im planning on learing kite buggying first at worcester uk .progrees to kite surfing but laso hope to use a kite with muni
I would recomend learning to kiteboard rather than buggy. It is harder at first but alot better when you get the hang of it and it is much closer to kitesurfing. If you can kite board and if you can wakeboard, kitesurfing will take you no time to learn atall.
Buggying is still awesome fun, especially if you love to reach crazy speeds plus you dont need such a smooth surface to ride on. I just felt you couldnt take it as far.
