Power Balls Rock!

Have any of you tried Power Balling? I saw one at Sharper Image and gave it a go. As I have weak wrists, I thought I’d give it a go. After a few minutes I was hooked. I went home and found one on eBay… yada yada yada… I have a Power Ball!

It took me a while, but I figured out how to start it with out the string (the seller didn’t send me one and I didn’t want to wait for a new one). Man, they aren’t kidding when they say that it’s addicting. I spent most of the day using it. I went shopping and all the while my wrist was making little circles.

Anyone know if it actually does make you stronger? Even if it doesn’t help all that much, it is really fun to see how fast you can make it go.

I think I may have used it a bit too much though. My wrist is a little sore now. I just can’t wait to wake up tomorrow and see if my forearms are any bigger!

For a moment there, I thought you might have won some cash in the Powerball Lottery

Yeah I thought he just won lotto.

I’m afraid I just can’t get excited about any activity where the website says, in big blue letters…

“High performance athlete’s aren’t born, they use their Powerballs!”

I mean, really. Soon they’ll be as bad as my brother. “DDG one’s” indeed…

Phil

i dont understand. what do you do with this “powerball”?

I’m not sure what that thing is, but if it helps your wrists then I want one.
My wrists definitely need strengthening, as I often injure myself from speedcubing too hard.

talking about innuendos…

did anyone visit this site?? (actually, i am intrigued)

I cant help but think of something else when i read;

“…sublime yet pleasant resistance to your movement which is transmitted directly into your wrist and arms and which provides soothing…”

“…You want more?
Take it higher…much higher!
Bring your new Powerball up…up to 10,000rpm…the forces are now much stronger, much more vibrant. Higher!”

“…take it right up, thrashing and jerking as your arm and wrist try to control and calm it down, faster and faster…”

“…will instantly satisfy 5 very specific requirements for you as…”

“…A highly unique gift idea & birthday gift for men…” <—this is great! lol, just great!!!

“…The perfect instrument to gently rehabilitate lower forearm and wrist joints affected by carpal tunnel syndrome, repetitive strain injury …”<—from what???

I hope those people purposely wrote these things that way lmao

So it strenghthens your arms by you spinning it, and it pushes against your arms?? can you explain it for me?

HAHAHAHAHA OMG omg im DYING

northern dragon, thanks for pointing that out!!! lmao!

It is great. I think it will really help with my wrist strength. I wanted to strengthen my left wrist for unicycling and my right to help me throw frisbees. I don’t know if it will love up to the hype, but after three days, I’m lovin it.

PS. I got it for like 18 + shipping on ebay. I wouldn’t pay full price for it.

Re: Power Balls Rock!

One of my unicycling friends bought one last week in a computer shop (they claimed it works against rsi) and he let me try it. He left his string at home but I could start it without. Fun thing but not really addicting afaic.

Northern-dragon that was funny. When trying to spin up the Power Ball real fast, I noticed that one particular movement pattern was easiest for me, and I couldn’t help myself making a joke about “feels most natural”.

I was actually hoping that somone made a cheaper generic version of Zorbs called Power Balls oh well looks like ill have to save up and get a Zorb.

What have these things got to so with unicycles? I’m not complaining about the thread, I’m just wondering why on eBay, their keywords include “unicycle”

There is a single wheel inside a power ball.

OK, so how about judo?

Re: talking about innuendos…

I thought it might be a new product from the guys at
www.powergenitalia.com

I got mine for my birthday. Mine is called a “spaceball”, but it’s the same thing. It might have saved me from RSI, I don’t know, but it makes this humming noise that will drive everyone around you crazy.
