Radio Magnetic is wicked! It was on FM for a month a few years back, the radio was on 24 hrs!

Two of my mates have a hip hop/breaks/scratch show. They are called “Ill Technique”. Look for them.

It’s free form radio, so you get something different with every show. It’s Jewish talk from 6-9 am, then lots of very different MUSIC from multidunous sources all day long. One great show is on maybe 11 am Tuesday: Don’t shoot the drummer, I think.

WFMU has just unleashed a fuzzy new 'net pet for you to play with: check out the Random Song Generator! With the click of a button, a string of discriminating binary will deliver 10 random songs from various shows in the WFMU archives straight to your computer via Real Audio or MP3. And because you favor chaos, you won’t even mind that the start times of songs are a tad, well, random.

doesn’t work at school though…:frowning:

Boombastic Radio really serves the flava in large portions. Jazz, soul, latin, electronic, hip-hop, it’s all there. Tasty.

Also chock-full o’ goodness is WeFunk , spanning from classic funk to new hip-hop. Always gets me up and doing the funky chicken.

Now, I usually don’t admit this in public, but I love cheese and Club 977 gives it to me.

lol… I clicked this just in time for “Funkytown”

Now ya just can’t get more cheeze than that …

Re: www.wfmu.org

Just checked this thread out. I haven’t listened to WFMU much for a while but used to love it, Yo La Tengo notwithstanding. I was listening the other day though and there was a long program with a guy relating the story of his step-father, Freddy’s, experience with cancer with a Philip Glass like soundtrack droning in the background. It was very appealing and engrossing. Billy, do you know what that program was? Apparently it is a regular feature - the topic changes, of course - but I didn’t catch the name and can’t remember exactly when it was that I was listening.

I’ve been listening to Bluegrass Radio lately.

Re: Re: www.wfmu.org

If you enjoy bluegrass, check out the Old Man on Sundays on KRCL. He’s on at 5pm your time, although the programming is good both before and after, starting at 1pm ET with Sunday Sagebrush Serenade, and ending at 10pm with Fret 'n Fiddle.

All ska, all the time, no commercials, no dj.

Re: Re: Re: www.wfmu.org

Eeeewww, what does that have to do with bluegrass?

You can get a 14 day free trial and listen to KPIG to hear some burnin’-down-the-barn hot bluegrass, folk, blues and rock, as well as tons of parody ads that’ll have you peein’ in your overalls. IMNSHO, this station is the reason radio was invented.

How about Radio 4?
