Years ago went to a decent hardware shop and bought bags of stainless replacement bolts for pretty much everything. It’s worth it especially when you’re going out in all conditions.
I think this definitely shows the worth of winter-prepping whichever poor uni is getting sacrificed to Road Grime and Salt that year!

It’s going to be a 3 join tire with a road 700cx38, a MTB 26”x2.1, and a BMX 20”c2.125”. It’s an all purpose tire
If you ride in half revs and do 180 unispins in between this will work great. Just remember to do another half rev in sted of a unispin when transitioning between gravel and street.

I hope you didn’t hurt yourself (or anyone else). As you can see on the rim being thrown off would be the least of my concerns. These might have passed your calves at some point.
Your rim is bust. I doubt patching it is worth the effort.
