I like MikeFule’s idea, to post exactly what unicycling you have done for a deity, cause or ideal. Please be serious, respectful and considerate of other’s beliefs. Let’s keep this orderly and on topic.
I’ll start: Today I did 6.8 miles of road uni for Cthulhu.
Tomorrow I’ll do some MUni for the Mountain God “Mkful.”
My dog will run along side me, for her Mother God “Dogma.”
I trained 700 miles last summer then rode 125 miles in two days to raise $5,000 for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The MS 150 Bike (and Unicycle) Tour is an event to raise awareness about multiple sclerosis and raise money to fund national research programs and local services for people with MS, their families, friends and care givers. The cause is uncertain; the cure is unknown. That’s what I unicycle for.
Hey tomblackwood, i don’t think i’ve met a more helpful person than you. You never cease to amaze me. Keep up the good work my friend. :D. This is proof that there is actually something to unicycle for!!
Ha ha same here! Old people seem to love the unicycle… even when I sucked.
Unicycling for Christ is not about doing specific tricks or rides and devoting them to Christ, it’s simply stating that we are trying to live our lives to please God, and unicycling is not exempt from that. One’s beliefs affect everything that they do. I’m not saying that maybe I’m a better unicyclist because I’m a Christian as opposed to if I wasn’t, but I do believe that I can use my riding as a form of glorification and worship to God.
Ecclesiastes 3:12,12 NKJV I know that nothing is better for them to do than to rejoice, and to do good in their lives, and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor- it is the gift of God.
I can rejoice in my ability to ride, and enjoy the fruits of my accomplishments on my unicycle. By saying we UFC, we are just recognising the last part here… it is the gift of God. There’s nothing wrong with giving credit where it’s due.
