So, today i was out riding in my backyard on the concrete around my pool area. I had been riding for about 2 hours already and i managed to land my first 180. It wasn’t very good and i fell off soon after landing it, but it was great progress for me. Anyway, after that i was riding on the concrete which surrounds the pool which looks kinda like a winding sidewalk. (my pool is kinda peanut shaped) I can ride one-footed pretty good so i felt fine attempting this by the pool. So, i took one foot off the pedals and got about four or five revolutions before the concrete started to curve. I put my foot down to reach the pedal and I missed… I then attempted to bail off forward, but it was one of those situations where you think that your going to bail but actually you stay balanced over the uni. So i accidently coasted for about four or five more feet. When i finally bailed off, my feet landed on the edge of the pool and my momentum sent me flying into the water. I was mostly shocked by the fact i was soaking wet after an otherwise simple dismount.

Anyway, if anyone has any other funny/interesting stories about riding or anything feel free to post.

oh bummer, i don’t know how cold it is in TX these days, but that sounds unfortunate. i hope it wasn’t too cold. i guess i’ve never fallen on/into anything other than pavement.
Oh I love the unintentional no footed coasting…until I hit the ground…
Anyway, my dad when he was a kid he could (kinda) ride a unicycle, and he fell into his pool and hit the bottom and chipped his tooth! And then he never unicycled again.
In Sacramento it got below freezing last night. Yeah, I know, we’re really roughing it out here. But anyway, our pool is seriously cold. That’s why I don’t spend much time riding around the edges of it…
today we (being 2 of my friends and I) went riding in this great natural trials site. 2 really funny bails. Brian C. tried to go from one rock to another higher rock and got on it and the tire got massive foldage, he bails off the rock (maybe 5-6 ft. drop) into a small clearing lands, and falls but he rolled out of it.
in another spot he gaps up to another rock and it splits where his tire hits, so the ledge he is on is no longer their. he ends up running off to keeps his ballance.
2 funny bails, a couple more bails and no injurys.
When I was learning to idle, I got the whole rocking motion thing going when my brothers girlfriend sticks her head out the door and shouts “Go Johnny!”. The moment she finished, I pedal a tad too hard. I fall forward as uni flys backward, into the swimming pool. At least we both thought it was funny! As did the rest of the family!
