Poll on CNN.com

Poll at the bottom:

“Should Lee Boyd Malvo’s statements to police be used in his trial?”

Uhmmm… is this not the dumbest thing you’ve ever read??? Does
“Miranda” ring a bell?

Re: Poll on CNN.com

I have zero respect for CNN ever since I found out that they knew about
atrocities in Iraq for 12 years and didn’t report them because they didn’t
want Saddam to kick them out of Baghdad.

Re: Poll on CNN.com

It wasn’t quite like that. It wasn’t that they didn’t want to get kicked
out of Bagdhad, its that they didn’t want their informants murdered. CNN
has been the target of a number of terrorist attacks, they didn’t want to
loose any more people. The knowledge of what Iraq was doing was out there,
just read the reports from Amnesty International - they’re much better
equipped to publish that kind of info without getting people killed. The
fact is, NONE of the media reported much on it, even though there was little
risk to networks like FOX or ABC to do so.

CNN had to make a very tough decision, while it is arguable that they
could’ve made a better one, it wasn’t as simple as getting kicked out, lives
were on the line.
