well i think it was last night, i was ridin on the concrete barriers at the top of the hill, and i been ridin it for bout .5 hour, and ridin it one footed, and just normal, people were drivin by wavin at me, smilin, noone seemed to be angry with what i did, then i see a cop car come up the hill, thankfully i was checkin out the mirror on the power poll away from the barriers, when i mean barriers i mean the ones that are like “/” that at the begining, then they go up from teh slant close to the ground, then go along at teh same hight till they come back down. Anyways i was lookin at the mirror hoping for somone to break it soon, so i can take more of the curved mirror home again, so the cop goes by and then goes past i think he was lookin at me, then went up the next place to turn around. I wasnt sittin there this time to be told not to ride on it, then have me argue with teh cop, over how mountain bikers do it all the time, and tell him my steet adress and name and stuff again. (i been pulled over last year, for riding on it) So i took one of 3 or 4 routs away from were he came, i could go straight over the bank or donw other road, or down trail,. so i took the road, pedaled home as fast as i could, then i hid my uni behind the deck and and beside the snowbower so it was hidden, in case the cop came to my house, to see if i was there. But anyways has anyone else been pulled over and had their MUni confiscated or you tirals uni, for riding on stuff. Id really like to hear input from Kris Holm, cuz on many videos i seen him riding on stuff like the Burrard Street Bridge,(think thats the bridge) and anyone else who feels the need to say what has happened to them. k thanks for the time.
yeah, my friend got told by a policeman to put lights on a 20" when they found him riding in a quiet street int he dark. Oh, and another time, my other friend was stopped by the police and told they had received a complaint about a unicyclist stealing bricks… None of us were guilty.
I’ve never been stopped, guess i’m too fast… i wish.
Yeah, i was wondering about that too Kris, in one shot in Universe you are shown dropping off a railing into a flower bed and then ripping some of the flowers up as you hop off. Can’t say i’m too bothered, especially if you mended things afterwards, just wondering what your line/ experience in such things was.

That’s the one scene that really caught my wife’s attention. As far as she
was concerned the rest of the video was just unicyclists messing around,
which she’s seen plenty of times before. She was really not impressed to
see a flower bed being destroyed, though.

I asked Kris about that, and he smiled embarrassedly and said that he’s
been asked about that before. Yes, he DID go back and repot the trampled
plants, but for some reason, that moment didn’t make the UniVerse final
cut. Then the cops descended upon him and tossed his sorry ass in the
slammer for a week.
Just kidding about that last part.

personaly, i feel that this is the best part about unicycling (so
far), is the cops dont bother you. I have been ridng at popular
skatespots, with other skaters, had the cops pull up on the sidwalk,
watched everybody go flying (im usualy one of them), and just sat
there riding, unhindered, and never had anybody say a word. Likewise
i’ve been riding alone at night when the town im in is empty (much
more relaxed then, can consentrate on learing tricks, not pulling
tricks off in front of an audience), and watched the cops doing there
rounds for hrs, and never been stoped once. everytime i see the car,
i get all poised, ready for an encounter (look what years of skating
has done to me), but they just drive pased. once a car actualy slowed
down right next to me, and i siged and walked over to the car, but he
kept driving. turned out i just happened to be on the closest route
to the police parking lot.
what i have had problems with however, is getting on trains.
specificaly the greenline in boston. I usualy talk to them like there
stupid, and inform them that its not a bike its a unicycle, notice the
lack of hte other weel. and when that doesnt work i usualy demonstrate
how i can hold it in my hand and its really not talking up any space
like a large bicycle does (im usualy on my little 20"). And i have
only once been actualy held off a train. but its really a pain in the
ass to have to argue with the people every time i go anywhare. but
how else am i supposed to get around? you cant ride a 20 around like
a bike! and it would take me an hr to walk it anywhare.
I was riding along the sidewalk, then cut into a parking lot. A police SUV with one in the pilot’s seat, and 2 (officers) in the back seat, pulled up beside me and matched my speed (their windows were down)
“Looks like someone stole your other wheel,” the driver said, with the back two smirking.
“Looks like I should arrest you for bad jokes,” was my retort.
The two in the back laughed at him, we all had a chuckle, and went our seperate ways
