please compare 3 unis for me

I’d like people’s opinions on three unicycles:

  1. Torker 24 inch
  2. United 24 inch with main bearing holders
  3. Semcycle XL 24 inch

This would be a unicycle for a niece who is just learning, and showing
great potential. I hope to get her a unicycle that will grow with her
skills. I’d like to tempt her into off-road riding eventually.

  1. Good
  2. Bad
  3. Best

The Torker and Semcycle are pretty much the same frame (unless it’s the new XL frame). The difference between the two are the quality of the other components such as the wheel, cranks, seat, etc. which is why there is the price difference.

Various people I know (including one of my kids) ride on Semcycle XLs. I
have not heard of any problems. Good value for money. No experience with
Torker or United.

I just bought a Torker 24" for various events at the NUC. It performed
quite well. I also had a 24" Schwinn with me. THe Torker is much lighter.
Sems are great; I have a 26" Deluxe and it’s great, and some of my club
members have XLs and are happy with them. I believe Torkers are the
cheapest and are probably the best for the purposes you have in mind (a
beginner). – David

Dave,

I bought a 24" united unicycle (modified by unicycle.com for off road use)
to learn on. It worked well to learn on, and now i do alot of trails and
muni, and its still holding up fine. This saved me money because i knew i
wanted to get into muni and trials, so i didnt have to buy 2 unis. read my
review on my page (shamless plug, more on this later)

http://www.uni-psycho.cityslide.com/pages/page.cfm/739828

the dash is included in the url, so im pretty sure you need to coppy
and paste it.

if that doesnt work:

http://nick.somewhereintheheavens.com

and click through to “Reviews”

Here it is listed at unicycle.com

http://www.unicyclesource.com/United_(3_models)55551.html

all one line once again. If your going to buy it, get the $180 model.

Good luck
