Such as ^ these.
Has anyone run these? Are they very strong? I drop my uni a lot as I’m just trying to learn how to ride. I also get frustrated easily. 'nough said.
I don’t want to spend the money on the pedals if they are just going to break after one slam, or a missed pedal stall.
I used to have these pedals on my uni before i put them on my bmx, every weekend i would go down to the skate park continually jump a 6 set of stairs and pedal grind a ledge. im not a light person i wheigh about 94kg and they never let me down where other pedals have.
I took my unicycle off the road for a while to give it a new look. Was riding my buddies, and landed poorly. Now I have to wait about another week for my ankle to heal.
Had the twisted PC’s for 2 weeks and ive only rode em twice and sadly they are already bent
I was worried about the plastic breaking but i didnt think about the splindle and that bent pretty quick. Also if you grind a lot be sure to only do it on one side because the pedal gets wore down fast.
I say for flatland they would be great but for anything else i dislike them very much. Time to go back to my good ole metal pedals
Animal PCs are supposed to be the best. Twisted PCs have sucky pins. Though the Fly Ruben plastics are supposed to be even better than both. I’ve not yet tried, but the BMX world seems to love 'em lots.
it seems like a lot of ppl enjoy their plastic pedals, ive always ridden metal pedals from day one and only broken a few of them but thats just because they were junk pedals.
One thing i really like about plastic is for crankflips, haha doesnt hurt so bad to mess up. Oh yeah another thing do you guys ever notice weird creaking sounds coming from your pedals? cause thats one thing that really bothered me about the PC’s
It’s probably because you ride Big Street. I used to ride Twisted PC’s before I quit street and flatland, they were bent too and the just kept getting loose because of that. I’m just riding metal pedals now, even if I want to ride a little bit of street, but that’s never for a long time:p
I am curious, why do riders bend axles on plastic pedals easier? Surely having the plastic bash the ground after a few bails and crashes absorbs more impact and dampens the shock compared to a metal body?
Unless the axles are made of a total cheesey steel.
