this thread is for people who will be graduting from HS or college soon. Post your plans and wat u wanna do after you graduate.
I alredy know wat i wanna do.
After i graduate HS im gonna go to hollywood or LA and become famous. I dont know wat for tho. but ill find somehing. If that doesnt work out then im gonna come back to AK and go to college and become a fire fighter
i’m a firefighter. you should do it. it’s an amazing job. SO much fun! your first practice burn you will never forget. laying on the floor and watching the flames roll over your head and then continue down the hall another twenty feet in the most amazing thing ever!
Ah the all-American dream, get something for nothing, and act like you deserve it.
Your easiest method is probably going to be an attempted presidential assasination. This is virtually garaunted to get you famous overnight, and won’t take a huge amount of effort.
Holywood is full of people who went there to be famous, you can see them behind the counter in any KFC.
No it doesn’t mean you can’t, but it means you almost certainly won’t, except if you follow the simple plan i detailed previously. The fact that you apparently have no discernible talent or plan for getting famous just compounds this.
The point i was trying to make was, why do you want to be famous? it seems most famous people expend much time, money and effort avoiding the effects of their fame, hiding away from the public eye. If you just want fame then a suitably nasty crime (or streaking at the superbowl) is the way to get it quickly, if those don’t suit you then it’s not just fame you’re after.
idk why. ive always known i was gonna be famous one day. Since i was like 8. Probally for the money mostly. And its always nice to walk into a room and everyone knows who u are even tho u dont know them.
PM me you phone number or email address and in 5 years or so i will give u a call just to show u i did it. And if im not famous by then i will call you and tell you that you were right,
Oh and i dont plan on doing anything illegal to become famous
wanting to have dreams come true is a good thing (I’ve never stopped doing that) … but what is the point of being “famous”? what happiness can you turn out of this? you can be “famous” in a tight circle of friends (or amongst unicyclists ) but being people-ized is a bad path to happiness … for 99% of wanabes.
Those are the lucky ones. The unlucky ones have fallen into the bottomless pit known as
REALITY TV.
This is where you truly can get something for nothing. You get paid to act like a spoiled, self-important, immature baby, setting an example for the next generation of how to behave.
It’s like a disease. I think that’s Brendon’s best bet, assuming that stuff counts.
You’re kidding, right? Do you want a list? If you had said his chances would be much better by going to college then it wouldn’t be untrue at all. Maybe not on the famous, but definitely on the rich.
Now for the big question: Do you want to be able to pick which day?
Give the kid a break, he’s only sixteen. If he says he wants to be famous someday, wish him luck. If he says he’s absoultely going to be famous by age 21, place your bets. Don’t forget to set a definition on “famous” that you all can agree on.
I’m not really about to graduate, I’m only ending my second year in college.
I’ve done a lot of thinking, and come up with a few ideas.
-I don’t want a career until I’m in my thirties.
-I want to work an agricultural job, harvesting grain, corn, that kind of thing. I think this is largely a product of my growing up in rural-quickly-becoming-suburban-hell central Pennsylvania. I worked on a farm one summer, and probably will this summer, and there’s nothing like it.
-I want to work some sort of mechanical/repair trade. I’ve begun learning the band instrument repair trade, and MIGHT have an opportunity to apprentice this summer, doing that. I also wouldn’t mind working at a bicycle shop.
-I want to work/live for a while in each area of the country.
So far, not many of my ideas have to do with my college major, in music. I wouldn’t mind at all having a career in music later, but I don’t want to be a slave to my instrument, practicing hours each day instead of gaining experiences.
I suppose this could all change by time I’m ready to graduate, but that’s the plan so far.
I just changed my major from Business Administration to Broadcasting and Mass Communication. I don’t know what I want to do…but the more business classes I took, the more I realized what I didn’t want to do. I figure with a broadcasting major I may end up working with cameras, or in music; either one of those would be cool.
I intend to pursue my music career regardless of what my “real” job is. I plan to try for a record deal with Candyrat Records this summer. Not to sound arrogant, but from the looks of things, I think I might get it. However, it’s not fame that I’m looking for. I just want people to hear my music and appreciate it - I could do without the fame.
You can work your butt off for 10 years then have fun the rest of your life, or…
you can have fun for 10 years then work your butt off for the rest of your life.
No word on whether said man is still working his butt off, though.
