I was driving home from Kroger on 14th St in Plano, TX today and I saw someone on a unicycle riding down the sidewalk. I honked and gave a thumbs-up but he was negotiating a pile of snow at an intersection and didn’t see me. Yes, it snowed in Texas in late March enough to stay for a day or two.
I’m HOPING this gets seen by him. I should have stopped and said hi.

No, that wasn’t me. I wonder who it was! I have a black 20"nimbus and a 36er and I live really close to you, about 3 miles east by the intersection of 14th and Murphy road.
Well clearly the three members of the Murphy-Plano Unicycle Club need to get their act together. 
I’ll have to ride my uni around there and see if I can draw him out.
I’m planning to do some plain-jane street riding around the industrial parks nearby, in the evenings. Nothing exciting, as I still have to get back in shape.
I’m thinking our proximity to South Fork Ranch should lead to the group being called the “Who Shot JR? Unicycle Club”
If someone comes and rides infront of my house, I’ll come out!
But seriously, Plano/Murphy is really close to my house, is there actually a club?

Sweet! I had pretty much given up hope of riding with others except for NAUCC and when my parents want to take me to Fort Worth (hasn’t happened yet in almost 2 years of riding).
The Fort Worth Uni-Psychos are my buddies. I rode with them many Friday nights, until I moved far away. I need to get myself back out to good ol’ Sundance Square and the water gardens. I managed to convince Harper to send his original geared 24" to us for evaluation. Some of the best times ever.

The only places I ride at are my house and the Allen skatepark, I don’t really know any other places that would work, but I live in Lucas so anywhere within about 20 minutes from there should be fine.
Edit: I have to go to bed now, I’ll check this thread when I get home from school tomorrow.

Oh well, it would have been funny. 
My kid is about your age. He ride a unicycle but is not very enthusiastic about it and spends his time doing other things. He has a chess tournament this weekend. It is interesting to see what captures different peoples interests.
Hi Julia, you’re really good! I don’t drive either, and anywhere Thats around 20 min. or closer would be fine. The skatepark sounds fun, I’ve never been there.

If you want we can meet at the skatepark, its pretty nice there, and free too. The only thing is it gets a bit crowded, so I usually only go right when it opens (8 AM) on weekend mornings.
