Planning a trip to Canada... any hints??

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to go on a trip to Canada this summer (mid July- mid August). I’m hoping to fly to Calgary first to stay with some friends, then travel to Toronto to meet up with my girlfriend and her family, who will also be on holiday (handy, that!)

Just a few questions… firstly, what’s the cheapest way to get from Calgary to Toronto? I’ve looked up flights, and found Westjet fly for $239. How much would busses cost? as I’ve heard that they can be quite cheap for long distance travel.

It’s going to be a very low cost trip… staying in youth hostels when I’m not with friends.

Also (and this may be a long shot) what is the prospect of hitch-hiking?

Any other hints and tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot,
Sam

i wouldnt take the bus that would take forever and probably west jet is the cheapest. i wouldnt hitch hike if i was you but thats your decision. if you do take the bus you could stop in and try some of are trails and that in sask

Keep an eye on west jet they have cheep deals from time to time.
They were offering $60.00 flights from Vancouver to Toronto not to long ago.
Good luck Dave

Thanks

I might be taking a uni, it depends on if i can be bothered to carry it around if im not riding it :stuck_out_tongue:
