Gilby,

I noticed that (most or all?) posts that were made to the newsgroup in
the last 24 hours or so haven’t propagated to the forum. It includes
one from Roger about the Velo saddle, that went largely unnoticed
because of this. (But Neil spotted the seat nevertheless.)

Corrective action from the invaluable forum/web master is greatly
appreciated!

Yes, it does appear that the newsgroup is superior to the forum in this case. I found the message on my news server and on the RSU mailing list, but it’s not in the forum. For everyone on the forum here is the lost message.

The problem is the result of the messages not appearing on the news server that unicyclist.com pulls it’s messages from. There is a big gap from 4 PM to 5:45 PM CDT on the 16th where the messages do not appear on the news server. This only affected 3 of Klaas’ posts (which he reposted) and 1 of Roger’s posts.

Something weird might be going on; when I read Klass’ post I looked in the newsgroup but it had missed loads of posts too.

So the problem exists both ways. That’s bad. I hope it is an isolated
hickup only. I’ve no idea what I’ve missed…
