Hey, all, I just got myself a week off work on the week of the 15th! Anyone up for a MUni ride that week?
Also: Jim, did you get a chance to look into the yahoo group thing?

Maybe Wednesday afternoon or Thursday (at my usual slow pace).
By the way, I saw this item in today’s Fort Collins Coloradoan:
“The Cycologist” is offering mountain unicycling rides at 5
p.m. Wednesdays at the west terminus of Horsetooth Road. For
information call [970]482-0882.
I’ll be there this week for sure.

Get to Aspen and we can do some awesome rides, tennisgh22 and I have been MUni’ing since he has been here. Be glad to show you the area.
re:ping front range riders
I’m a denverite new to muni-ing. Holler if you want to ride around Denver or head for the hills and ride some single track. I’m rough around the edges when it comes to trail riding but game for anything and need the practice.
good news and bad news
Well, fellas, I have good news and bad news. The good news is my vacation just turned into two weeks. The bad news is that this is because I sprained my ankle yesterday in a spectacular UPD.
I was riding a section I have ridden many times, and is only moderately difficult, but somehow I needed to swerve to avoid a rock, and couldn’t quite right myself in afterwards. I ended up dismounting off the front of the uni, right off the edge of the trail and down the hill at about 45 degrees in a full run. The hill was strewn with cactus and other prickly plants and with rocks each about 1 foot in diameter, spaced a couple feet apart, and embedded in the side of the hill.
I managed to run the whole thing out in about 20 feet, planting my feet frantically on any flat spots I could find and trying to slow my descent. Just as a came to a stop, the last rock I planted my right foot on twisted it to the outside. Wow, it could have been alot worse!
Anyway, I won’t be riding for the next couple of weeks, so thanks for the invitations, anyway, and I’m sure we’ll get to ride sometime in the near future. After I order some Active Ankles.
