pin pedals

I find my NRG pedals to , well, really suck. the pins fall out very easily and im just learning houw to grind( they get ripped out ) and when ever i do pedal hangs they bite into the object im stalling and they get ripped out.

So i was wondering what a good un-pinned pedal would be.

I have plastic pedals, and with no pins. They work just fine. Here they are: http://unicycle.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=212. I dont know what is so good about pins anyway… What are pins?

you could try taking the pins out? or you could get some plastic pedals, like some odesseys.

Re: pin pedals

Joseph,

Pin-style pedals help you avoid having your shoes slip off while riding. I ride rain or shine, and find it difficult to keep my soles glued to the pedals when wet. Pin pedals make your soles stay put. The downside: if you’re not careful, the pins can ra
ke the front or back of your leg during ‘unintentional coasting’. I’ll ask John Foss to define that phrase.

Here’s a photo of pin-style pedals. This is the removable kind:

John,

Thanks. I’ll look into those when I have some money to get rid of. Right now Im having problems with both of my Uni’s, luckily one problem is the pedals, so I might buy those…

Thanks again.
