How was your shipping time? Did it sit in customs long? Im eyeing one up but wondering how much of a delay I’ll see.
Not my most recent ride, but anyway. My original plan was to ride a sledge trail, from Kleine Scheidegg to Wengen but the weather was too warm, and I had no inclination to ride on slush. So instead of going further up the mountains I took the train down and had a ride around Interlaken.
Should have lowered the seat (or rather the frame, since it’s upside down) to get the wheel perfectly centered…
Thinking about it, a fatty may make for a useable life ring - if not for those spokes being in the way ![]()
Came past a ruin and climbed the stairs. Nice view of mount Niesen.
There was a tree growing on the top.
View from the ground.
Mount Niesen again.
This one I took while riding.
Trail through the natural reserve.
This picture was taken while idling. I clearly have some room for improvement!
The Oregon would’ve loved to continue but I decided not to take a swim that day.
Photo stop whilde crossing a narrow bridge.
Two buddies waiting for the train.
I just love that fat tyre! …and its shadow ![]()
Shipping wasn’t an issue. Less than a week in transit. It took longer to for them to ship it than it did to get here, but only maybe 2.5 weeks from the time I ordered it altogether. Tariffs aren’t fun, but the whole process was easy.
Why are you posting fake images? I can tell it‘s AI generated because the silhouette of the shadow doesn‘t match your beak and ears at all.
Haha, nice. But it‘s actually closer to this:
Before today’s ride
The sky was hazy (and to the temperature colder) because of Sahara’s sand in the atmosphere. It’s supposed to last a few days.
Your second picture looks pretty much the same to what i just saw a couple minutes ago - only it was the moon instead of the sun.
Came across this lovely roadblock almost half way through my ride… Suffice to say I did not ride 42k today…
Yesterday morning: 10 km with the 24” Muni, only Uphill and Downhill.
Yesterday afternoon: 36” Ride 18 km.
I’m Glad that my Unis don’t need Petrol. Otherwise I would be poor.
My 2nd Hatchet turn.
Perfect weather, perfect ground conditions and … oh wonder, no (0, zero, null, zilch, nothing, nada, nix) autosteering.
borrowed a hatchet from a friend so I could decide if I liked it or not, found the 5” tire way too difficult to control in the single track trails I ride, soooo I installed a 4” tire and WOW what a difference, I can still glide across pretty much any root or obstacle but with half the autosteer tendencies, it is far more nimble with the 4” tire and big plus, I can ride it on pavement with minimal effort compared to the 5” tire.
A white-wall Hatchet is something I didn’t know I needed, but kinda want
Either that, or a fat slick tire…
That is a very very nice looking Hatchet. I think I’m in love ![]()
why a face punch icon? I wont steal it, honestly. ![]()
I was wondering, was it
- the green frame
- the neon green seat clamp in combination with the green frame
- the white wall tyre in combination with a silver rim
- the idea of a white wall fat tyre
- the idea of equipping a Hatchet frame with a white wall tyre
- or the combination of all of the above
that I didn‘t like.
Turns out, it‘s most of this (I do like the green colour, but not on this frame), but most of all I miss the disk brake.
I apologise if I offended you or your friend; I just can‘t pretend I like this combination from an esthetic point of view. I couldn‘t even bring myself to keep quiet about it.
I agree, the colors don’t match up
thats not a face punch, it’s a fist bump ![]()
no offence taken and I can’t imagine my friend that built it being offended, we all have our own idea of what looks good. I’m just glad I didn’t post a picture of it with the green mad41 seat on it ![]()
he has 5 hatchets, this one being the only one without a brake as it is used mostly on flat ground at burning man every year
just a side note the wheel is white not silver
I’m just glad I didn’t post a picture of it with the green mad41 seat on it
So am I, my eyes just barely recovered! ![]()
exaggerate much! It looks darn good.
