That sounds really cool. I wish my colleagues were as open-minded. Generally people just laugh at me. That is how Dutchies are I guess.
@Setonix luckily my boss is cycling mad, he spends thousands on carbon race bikes, he has an appreciation of unicycles, just not mad enough to try. But like everyone, he had no idea how much unicycles have evolved, or the disciplines.
So it only generates interest and breaks up an otherwise boring day. My work colleague are facinated, never negative. They jusk think I am crazy, same with the exo, took that to work. Everybody had a try.

good
beautifull
Today my colleagues looked at me as if I got sick. My 36" what used to be in the office shrunk to 19". I really had to excuse myself. One was excited about rigideness and fat tire of the trial. My boss didn’t notice it- too small I guess. 4th floor, my 36 and I walk on the stairway every day- much faster than the lift.
If you learn to ride down the stairs, you‘re even faster - at least one way.
He he, that‘s quite a funny compliment!
Thank you.
@Ulkicycling @Wheelou @Setonix Come on where is your imagination. I was thinking upstairs, with the exo in hyper lvl 4 pwr, Resistance/fitness mode, its only 40 flights.
@Setonix do you ever ride with Asterix, Obelix and Getàfix ? ![]()
Well, I got what I asked for…
That, and some *cough* toasty temperatures as well
Was 10°F (-12°C) when I took the pic. On the bright side, the sidewalk here are very well kept so I don’t need to worry about ice much.
COLD! Its only been that cold down here once that I can remember, we were just getting out of the airport (from Florida) It was about 15 degrees, and it was really cold. How do you even ride in that temp?
With my hands in my coat pockets! ![]()
Plus I have to be extra careful with any icy patches since the tire isn’t very suited for the weather. I often just dismount and walk if I come across a sketchy patch or have to cross a messy road.
Well, you’d better hope you don’t UPD!
I ride to school on my 20 most mornings, and its around 30 degrees fahrenheit. I always want to have my hands in my pockets, but always expecting a UPD to come any moment..![]()
Lucky you! I’m still waiting for some proper snow.

So you’re making your toast in the freezer? Might want to try something different, like a toaster.

With a studded tyre you don’t need to worry about ice either…
I often just dismount and walk if I come across a sketchy patch or have to cross a messy road.
…and don’t need to dismount, thereby risking to fall while walking.
Snowed today over here
A little snow and ice on the trails today. First ride with the KH handle on. It’ll take a little adjusting and modification to dial it in, but initial impressions are good. The leverage and brake hand position were excellent but the off hand side kept trying to snag my shorts when I was in the techy sections. Not really what you want when negotiating snowy rocks.
As a reply to my earlier post. Today I took the Hatchet for a spin again. First at the local skate park to get a feel for it again as the skate park is in the middle of a larger park with some sandy paths, I figured I could ride around there first. It is actually quite a nice uni. The free mounts are super easy on it. The only think I have a problem with is camber, I end up sitting on the side of the seat instead of in the middle on top.
After that I took it to another place to ride 5-6kms and though it tires me more than narrower tires, it is very comfy. I don’t need to show any pictures of it anymore, with my last collection picture ![]()
I’ve put on a few hundred miles on in the last few weeks in order to meet my annual goal. Here on a wet foggy day:
Haven’t been on a ride in a few weeks due and decided it was time to go out in the conditions I had rather than the conditions I wanted.
Don’t think the artist realised that their sculpture was actually a circus bike…
Interesting that noone on the last pictures has a mudguard. I only rode through wet/muddy trails once, looked at my trousers/backpack and was convinced that I need one. And just for me, I wanted to meet our rules for riding on the street in a crowded city. My mudguard obviously looks aweful, but while standing I enjoy clamping it between the legs and having two free hands.
