Photographic Panoramas

Hey everyone! I just finished putting together a 36 shot HDR 360 degree panorama. This is my first time doing anything like this but I think it turned out well. Theres only one visible seam but tell me what you think about it: Panorama of downtown Laconia, NH

If you were someone trying to sell your house in the real estate market is this something you would want to display your property?

Feel free to post your own, 360 degrees or not!

EDIT: It can take a little while to load, its 3.6mb.

Heres a fullscreen flash version if the above one didn’t work for anyone. Click and drag inside the image to navigate: http://projectuni.com/oleyb/LaconiaPanorama.swf

That is really cool.
Great work!

thats really cool, do u use a special camera to do that?

If you’re into this kind of thing, I can seriously recommend this site.

That is a really cool site! some great images there

My cousin took a cool panorama of me riding the trail 10 minutes from where I live. He was just messing around and learning to use the camera and image compositing, but I think it turned out pretty cool. Nowhere near 360 degrees, but I guess that is the next logical step, having seen the pictures in this thread

Nope, I just used my canon digital rebel xt, then stitched it together in photoshop.

In terms of selling real estate, presumably you can do this moving the camera position to get a panoramic view of the outside of the house? i.e. walking in a circle, rather than standing on a spot and spining?

I have this one a mate stitched together from 4 photos on a ride many years ago.

You probably could get it to rotate around the house but that would be a totally different process. With this you have to be standing in one spot but say you did two of the panoramas, one of the front of the house and one of the side. You can have areas within the panorama where you can click and it will load another panorama in place so you could put the click-able area off to the side of the house and so when someone clicks it they are transferred to the front panorama view of the side of the house. These could also be useful for indoors to show off the inside of the house.

Cool shots guys, keep em coming!

Courtney put a shot together of her and Ben that I thought was pretty neat. She explained how she did it, but I’ve forgotten exactly what she said. She’s a pretty good photographer (and quite a beautiful young lady, I might add. :))

Here it is in a full-sized view: http://good-times.webshots.com/album/563246249CZozlF
.

Here is minkuni’s panorama done as if it were a full 360, it doesn’t work quite as well this way as it gets distorted and has the line but it still sure does look awesome! minkuni panorama.

It takes quite a while to load but I wanted to keep it high quality.
