Seriously, what is up with everyone who thinks revenge is such a great idea? What ever happened to taking the high road, not compromising your own morals, not sinking to the levels of “those idiots”?
What’s that going to prove other than the fact that you can’t handle yourself without acting like a “those idiots”?
I second Bruce’s advice.
Filing a report is quite simple… often times all you need to do is go to the local station and fill out a form. You probably won’t have to speak to an officer… although one may call you later to fill in any details missing from your report.
If you do things properly, your “revenge” might be a lot sweeter, and technically, you won’t be doing anything “wrong”.
Nobody completely ruined your happiness. They threatened you and they damaged your car.

Your happiness has not been completely ruined. But you are justifiably annoyed and upset. I’m sorry it happened. I’ve had motorbikes trashed, and cars broken into. As you young people often say, “It sucks,” although I prefer to say, “How vexing.”
If you spend a week being angry about it, you will have a bad week, and they won’t be affected at all. Who wins then?

I dont plan any revenge at all. Even though that shaving cream thing is something that i have to try now. The whole thing occured on campus and off campus. I took pictures of the scratches and will show them to the higher ups tomorrow be it the police or someone at school. The school also has some video cameras so ill see if i can nab them with that and then get the video for you guys haha. I painted my car a couple months back for 500 dollars and i didnt do it to walk up to it with white scratches on it.
On a better note. I accomplished my first freemount today! And i can now turn around in my street!

in all there are 4 very noticable ones but it was really hard because my car was like a mirror in the light.
It would be way more fun to do a bunch of crazy pranks to their car, but then they’ll just do something worse to yours, and you’ll do more worse stuff, and it’ll just keep going. If you don’t do anything to their car, and just tell the authorities right now, then they’re the only “bad guys” in this case and you’re pretty much free and clear (unless they have connections with the mob then you might want to change your name and move to another state).
the only way revenge works is if you win if they have no idea’s revenge if to them it feels like the worst day of there life

Just let it go…this time. If you file a report, the driver will deny it happenned the way you said it did, and it’s too small for the cops to bother with it. Also, unless you can ID the others in the car with certainty, you’re SOL on them.
If it showed up on a school video, great. But it’s probably more fun to think of ways to do them in on this thread.
In an aside…
A while ago my ex-wife was in a parking lot and some jerk started yelling at her and threatening her over a parking spot. She was scared sh**less. She got his license and she called the cops. A witness she didn’t know verified what happenned to the cops. The cop said even with a witness, if it ever got to court the guy would very likely get off with a warning because by court date he’ll have an excuse why he lost his temper and was so sorry. The cop told her how to find out the name and address of the owner (likely the same guy). The cop asked ex-wife if by any chance she had any tough friends.
OK, so I don’t know what this story has to do with yours, I just thought it was neat.
Considering America is nominally a Christian country, where it would be next to impossible for an atheist or “heathen” to become president, I’m surprised more of the American posters aren’t recommending forgiveness, turning the other cheek, and a liberal dose of humility. Or do those things only matter on a Sunday?
According to something I saw on Mythbusters (a TV show), that doesn’t do much. They took two big old V8 engines and ran increasing amounts of sugar through them, and never stopped either one. Finally they just redlined the both of 'em till the blew up.
I disagree. Letting it go does nothing to help the next victims of these jerks. Assuming they have a history of doing this (or will have), people need to let them know it’s not okay, until the point where all the past complaints finally add up to something. Get a police report if you can.

Obviously they only matter when you feel like it, just like for everybody else.
All religion aside though, think carefully about whether you want to be like them, or be better than them. Being better often means sucking it up.
