Pennsylvania unicyclists?

I’ve been unicycling since about spring last year. And I’m trying to find some other people who are near me to ride with. If your anywhere near Aston pa, or Wilmington de, let me know.

Altoona

Kyle - There are some nice trails around Newark, DE in White Clay and Middle Run parks. The skills park at White Clay is a lot of fun with lots of elevated skinnies and teter totters.

Tstessney - Have you riden the trails at Raystown Lake? I did once and really enjoyed them.

I am in Philly and always looking for people to ride with.

Spent 2 hours last night on the art museum steps some of which was even on the uni

Yes, I have. I REALLY like it down there. Only 40 minutes from my house. The last time I was down, I spent 5 hours riding the N26 and finally had to leave due to physical, not mental fatigue. I think there is a total of 35 miles of trails designed and set up by the IMBA.

White clay and middle run are only a half hour away from me, that’s so awesome, I’m going to go there with my dad and do some riding once I’m free, thanks

Raystown Lake is the site of Dirt Rag’s Dirt Fest.

We’ve had unis there the past 3 years.

Last year we had demos. For 2013 we’re planning a group ride.

Please put it on your calendars- May 17-19, 2013. We’d love to have some company.

BTW: Raystown is completely unlike most of the riding in PA. The trails are smooth, fast, and flowy. I liked the Conundrum a whole lot last year, but a 29er would most likely be faster. 36? Maybe.

I will see you there. The 36 with 150s would probably be doable for about 75% of the course, but I think I’ll stick to the N26. You’ll have to repost when it gets closer…being old, I forget things easily.

I rode my 29er at Raystown and thought it was a great size for the trails. I think a 36er would also be great for most of it.

Hey everyone,

I’ve been searching a long time for Unicyclists around/ in Philadelphia. I live right outside Philadelphia, in Willow Grove. I ride muni regularly at Valley Green in Fairmount Park. If anyone is interested in riding, contact me. I would enjoy a riding partner!

Hey Kyle, I live about 45 minutes from Aston, Pa. I live in Willow Grove, Pa. Do you ride MUni or any other type of unicycling? We should meet up to ride sometime.

Hi Peter H i would love to catch up with you in Valley Green.

I was riding there last year as i was starting along forbidden drive.

I spent 9 months riding Muni in New Zealand and i have been wanting to ride more Muni here as well.

You got to MUni in New Zealand! How cool! How are the hills are there? Is there a big population of unicyclers?

To Peter I got a few unicycles and I like to try to experiment with a bunch. I got torkers lx and dx, I got a schwinn giraffe, And others too, but I’ve been to west virginia down mountains there, and I’m trying to learn tricks,

Peter to answer your question here is a ride we did last year.

It is nelson about 30 minutes drive from my parents place and about 20 minutes uni ride from the center of city.

New to unicycling I live in swedesboro New Jersey

Wow you guys are sooooo good

Hey davey

I'm not even close to how good you guys are. Wow. But I'd love to be. I would love to get together in the spring and learn a lot I can barley stay on but ultimately I would love to muni. Thanks for the response. Shawn

Hay Shawn

The fastest way to get better is to ride with others  dont worry the only thing that i can do with ease is fall off

It is by far my best skill.

I will PM you my email details for the spring.

Davey

Hey,

Just made an account so I could post this. I’m a rather new unicyclist at Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh and I’d love to find more unicyclists. I’ve been looking at starting a club for a while as there are quite a few unicyclists on campus, but I’ve yet to actually ride with any of them.
