James Potter: hopefully, i understand your post right, but the pedals don’t have 4 flat-head screws, the plate does. If you look at the pic, the plate attaches to the pedal by pinching it (using 4 screws) between 2 horizontal strips of Lexan and the Lexan plate. So, all you have to worry about is that the plate and the strips are the proper dimensions to fit onto the pedals that you want and that the pedals have the holes in the sides to fit the strips though. Since i’d assume that most pedals have roughly the same dimensions and that almost all have the holes for the strips, your pretty safe. Just look at the pic of the pedal to make sure the holes are there, but you may need to call them about the dimension thing.
For grim muni, Weyless B-67 CNC Platform Pedals.
Big platform and screws in the middle make for the best traction out there – a boon for rocky stuff where the feet tend to slip. Nothing’s even close . . . Not the lighteset, nor cheapest (39 bucks) but man do they grab.

It looks like this is a non-issue now, but…
Don’t get the bulletproof alloy platforms. They won’t hold up, the reflectors tend to fall out, and they’re not that grippy.
They’re pretty, though.
They hold up well for me. True, the reflectors fell out, but who cares?
i have the Odyssey Jim Cielencki Platform Pedals with Pins and they work great right now for me, i attached a grind plate to the bottom of them, and so far its standing up great. I just got to get better at doing grinds.
Thanks, but I got some now. They’re BMX ‘bulletproof’ or whatever those are called.
And I’ve decided to give up on grinding.
- it’s not that good (in my opinion)
B) it damages public (or private) property unless done in a skate park
Not true! Jim Cielencki is famous for doing pedal grinds on his BMX and he designed his pedals specifically to stand up to that sort of abuse. I’ve had a pair on my trials uni for about 6 months and done plenty of pedal grabs and grinds on them and not lost a single pin. This is compared to losing 3 pins in one ride on Snafus.
Jim C’s are some of the best pedals I’ve owned.
Wow, thanks. I just got a new set of snafus ($15 USD at danscomp). I got them only for the left pedal. My right one is fine. I’ve decided for concrete trials I’ll ride the old ones, and for natural trials I can stick the new ones on. that way it improves the lifespan of the pedal. But if the Cielencki’s are that good, I’ll get them next time. I just didn’t think the pins would hold.
