im pretty sure its time for a new unicycle. KH Longneck ![]()
Itās time for me to get some new plastic pedals. Question is, which ones?
Iāve had 3 pairs of Twisted PCās, and I love them to death, but the wealth of new options is tempting.
Iāve heard the Hamiltonās are almost too grippy, and thatās definitely a downside.
Iām looking at the following pedals:
Eclat Surge Plastics
And if none of these are what Iām looking for, I may just get another pair of Twisted PCās. Any information you all could offer me would be great. I ride a combination of tech and (mild)big street, if that matters.
If you want a pedal thats grip will last after a few sessions of grinding to NOT get easterns.
After now trying both Hamilton and Twisted PCās I would say the grip is equal over all but different (if that makes sense). I would go Hamilton, I loved mine while they lasted.
Get the Colonys so you can tell me how they are ![]()
Thumbs down on the easterns from me.
From what Iāve used.
Best metal pedal: Wellgo MG1ās
Best plastic pedal: Odyssey Twisted PCās
(I like DX style plastics too though, theyāre really good for flips)

Due to my forum search for āEclat Surgeā only yielding one result, I decided I would buy them.
I figured I could benefit the unicycling community by taking a $25 dollar hit.
Iāll write a detailed review once I get them.
I ordered those bad boys in clear.
EDIT:
I was counting on you to try those out!
Haro small blocks holding up⦠Got some Tryall Red Labels for 15$ though. So Ive been using thoseā¦
How are the Try All Red Labels for trials??
spindle stays true. It doesent fly off. But if you do pedal grabs, they do crack and eventually snap. The best person to ask about trials with these pedals is Kevin. hmm⦠forgot his user though⦠Kevin ⦠lol.. Hes the only ride that really only rides these..
EDIT: Kidmuni? maybey
OK thanks ![]()
I have been using these pedals and they are pretty awesome.
They seem to have a really small landing surface for crankflips and other tricksā¦
And they are really expensive when compared to PCās
I kinda assumed he was using them for Muni type ridding, as thats what they look good for.
This isnt a street pedal thread.
We all know plastics are where its at for that. ![]()

or Cielencki
Most people ride the Cielencki, but I would think that the Hoffmans wouldnāt be a bad pedal either.
Yeah I was using mine for Muni. They have a really big riding surface which fits my big wide foot pretty well. I will take a pic of them on the uni when I get back from the trails.
