Paypal Problems

Hello people. I need some help.

I transfered some money(over 300 euros) into my credit card from my paypal account more than a month ago. Yesterday I tried to book a ticket with that card and had insufficient funds. I went down to the bank this morning, and they said they never got the money. So, basically, my money is missing. And I need it to book my Unicon ticket, before the price goes up.

The bank people said they can’t do anything and I have to contact paypal. I tried filing a complaint to paypal, but it keeps redirecting me to this page and I can’t find what category I fit in on that page. I can’t find an e-mail of their support service or anything like that anywhere.

Hmm, I’m gonna go out and buy some credit so that I can call them up on the phone. Meanwhile, any advice or support would be great.

Called them, talked a bit, was put on hold for five minutes, talked some more, now I have this e-mail. The guy I talked to seemed very helpful.

This probably means it’ll take at least a week or two for my money to get to my card. Meanwhile I’ve no money to book the tickets. Damn damn.

I had some fraud happen on my PayPal account last year. They took a while (four months) to get everything resolved, but they seemed like they wanted to get things set straight.

Good luck.

Good luck, I hope you get your money back.

I lost some money in 2006 from Paypal, it boiled down to:

Paypal: Not our problem go fuck youself.

I had one day, 4 charges of over $400 CAD on my account.

Paypal security issue.

They completely refused to refund me the 3, $35 Insufficient Funds charges that my bank had to give me because I didn’t have even over $200 in my account. I did get my bank to refund me one of them, but it took a lot of work talking to the manager.

Paypal reversed the charges on my Paypal account, but didn’t even acknowledge that my bank charges for Insufficient Funds. Never could contact a real person at Paypal… always auto-reply E-Mails, and always on hold.

If you have an unresolved PayPal problem, try searching sites such as paypalsucks.com or similar. Apparently there are a few. I was reading down one and several of the people who had posted there offered “undisclosed” phone numbers or other contact information PayPal does not offer up willingly. This might help.

In my experience, when stuff gets credited back to my credit cards, it never, ever happens fast. Money can come out instantly, but they never seem to be in a hurry to give you a credit.

Oh I just looove paypal. In fact, I once had an account that I never used when I was only 17 connected to my interac. Now that I want to use paypal again the team is unable to give me a working account with the email address I have. After dozens of calls to paypal and years of trying to get an account it seems simply impossible. Even when I tried to sign up with a paypal team member over the phone he was unable to create an account with any combination of my name or email address. This has been the biggest inconvenience ever and I cannot believe their subpar system! I now cannot use ebay or perform many other transactions!

I faxed them what they wanted yesterday, I got this e-mail just now:

Okay…

Oh, and I’ve read some of paypalsucks.com… Damn… I think I’ll try to avoid paypal as much as possible in the future. Also, I’ll see by the outcome of this situation.

Looking good!

So, they’re not so bad after all!
