pathways

I live in the Cleveland area UK and am looking for new paths any routs
will be tried I’m not too keen on muddy pathways as I do fall off with
spectacular flair I use redcar sea front most of the time as it is near to
my home and it is also good for confidence… I can ride for a couple of
miles no bother any longer and I need to rest up.

Thanks in advance M.

Mark,

There are quite a few new interesting cycle tracks. We have the Sustrans
Route 1 going through Cleveland. I have done the section from the barrage
up past the prison, past the back of my house and then up the Castle Eden
walkway to Station Town. That’s about 25 miles of good cycle track. I have
found some kind of extensions off that from the A19 cycle track just North
of the Prison, there appears to be a park there that I didn’t know existed
and is absolutely full of good tracks. Closer home for you would be to
ride out onto the Gar on the road, not normally too busy and really nice,
I used to do that when I live in Redcar.

Roger

Thanks for your reply Roger, I never gave the gare a thought but Nobby and
myself have tried some parts of the other route. We also know of a path at
Darlington but feel it is a long car ride for a mile of track. any more
places are still welcome. “Roger Davies” <Roger.Davies@octacon.co.uk>
