Parkour

I haven’t seen a thread for parkour here. How many of you guys do it? I myself do parkour. I know that a lot of people do it here. I’m having trouble with backflips. I love parkour, though. What makes you guys do parkour? What got you into it? Post everything about it here!

Yeah, that’s not a very good thing to find out when you’re out doing parkour.

Wait…parkour doesn’t have flips, does it!!!

yes Parkour does… Freerunning dosnt from my understanding. as far as I know parkour involes doing all those fancy trick etc etc, Freerunning you just run and jump over objects. A bit like Street unicycling.

And I’m getting into Freerunning any tips would be good. I’m not into doing all those fancey trick like flips and all

It’s the other way round.

From the woods is correct. Freerunning is doing whatever you want. my mistake.

Hmm. I had thought that was what freerunning meant too.

Oh well. I don’t do tricks, but I like running/jumping/climbing over stuff. Like things that are too big to do on a unicycle.

I like to run around to places.

I like to do hand stand flips off loading docks. Kind of like a cartwheel with a drop off at the end.

ok thanks for correcting me

I shell gte it right from now on

Didn’t look very hard, did you?

Me and my frineds do a bit of parkour and freerunning. But I’m not very good… im usually the one recording.
Did anyone else see the world freerunning championships the other day. Its on BBC iplayer, but not sure if you can watch it from outside the UK

i love both parkour and free running, in fact i’ve been doing parkour longer than i’ve been unicycling. and yes, i do both. some days when i go out and sesh i’ll pick a spot and just create different free running lines out of it. incorporating tricks like spins and flips (still can’t get the balls to front flip on flat though)

however if i’m with people we usually do parkour and have almost like race sessions. we pick a starting point and an end point and then true to parkour we attempt to get from point a to point b in the smoothest most efficient way possible. it’s a lot of fun and unicycling has greatly improved my balance when it comes to precisions and the accuracy of my turn vaults.

i really do love parkour, the reason i got started was for the same reason i started unicycling, i saw it on tv and thought it looked like a fun sort that i could do who knew that it would take hold so much, i’ve been a traceur for about 8 years now. i think that parkour is one of the few sports that truely has millions of possibilities.
