not to be really negitive or anything but that was the worst parkour vid i have ever seen… although it was cool that you filmed it with your coker those guys arent very good… jump london… now thats some good stuff!!! i guess those guys just need some more practice befor they shoot a video IMO… sorry if that sounded mean.

The thing I’ve never understood about PK is how it is different from what hyperactive boys do for fun. I used to run around, jump, do flips over fences, climb things that aren’t necessarily intended for climbing, etc. a lot when I was younger–I still do in a more cautious manner. So how is this different than PK, other than it has an official name now? Or does the “all encompassing” way of life ideology make it PK?

while I have no interest in doing it, watching these guys do it sure made me appreciate their interest in it. do you think any of them wanted to try out unicycling? to each his own I suppose. I had a great time filming them, not to mention hanging out with a whole new, yet incredibly similar group of guys

i watched that whole mario game :frowning: (as i never finished it, i always had too much fun on the penquin slide that you apparently don’t even need to do!!)

Sorry, that video is a fake. the kid did it using an emulator slowed down by like 24x, then sped it back up for what you see. I forgot where, but there was an interview or a webpage or something where he explained it.

PK is diffrent because it’s more stylized, and bigger. I mean I did that kind of stuff when I was a kid too, but I never did backflips off a 15 foot tower, or jumped 15 foot gaps between buildings. To do PK well takes a lot of training and dedication.

that is cool…I love parkour. I do it often while I’m out unicycling, if theres something too huge to do on one wheel, I just do it on my feet…

Before you go calling B.S. on something, you should do a little research to back up your claim… otherwise you’re just spouting B.S. yourself.

Yes, the video was made using an emulator but it wasn’t slowed down. Savestates were used extensively (over 20,000 times in this video) to perfect every section of the game individually. The sections were then pasted together to provide a complete start-to-finish run of the game.
