Well that sucks.

My camera costs about $350-400 and I was able to find it for $125. So not all the time low prices are a scam.

You can still get this camera for about the same price, well, closer to $400 if you have a cicuit city near you, and from a few other sites.

that sucks. Glad I could be of such help;) .
I just saved you 300 some dollars. Does this mean I get some kind of cash reward;) ? haha around 150 bucks should do it.

funny guy eh:D

I have that camera and I paid almost 700 canadian for it last summmer. At the time it was a really good deal.

It’s a really nice camera, im completly satisfied with it.

yeah…its time for me to upgrade…did u ever get that 540 Matt V

No, I haven’t ridden too much because its been cold and snowy, but I have been out a few times and I just started doing clean 360’s, and I think im pretty close to the 540. It rained yesterday so the roads are all cleared off, so that should help. It would be sweet if I landed it as a christmas gift to myself.

I bought mine off ebay for $320 Can. Check ebay for good deals. You won’t get scammed there, check their rating.

Basic advice:

Never buy from an online seller if you can’t find any feedback about them. Then look for the negatives and see what’s there. There will always be some unhappy customers, but if their feedback is mostly good or better, you’re probably okay.

For camera stuff online, try Adorama. They’re another NYC-based company, but they also have a physical store that I’ve actually visited. Their people in the store were always very knowledgeable. One of my major Christmas presents came from Adorama, without a hitch, and I’ve ordered from them before.

Note in the linked article, the guy made a complex purchase over the phone with apparently no paper trail. I guess that’s a bad idea. If the vendor won’t send you an email confirmation of your order (with all the details) there could be problems.

I’ve bought a lot of stuff online from various vendors, and nearly all the transactions have been positive, or at least neutral. Once TheNerds.net sent me a camera (one I used a lot for years) in a box with one little piece of airbag, otherwise flopping around in there. But the camera’s own box was very good protection and it worked fine. From Adorama’s store in Manhattan I bought two of my old film cameras, the ones responsible for the vast majority of my film unicycle photos including my first “trail-cam”. That’s the one I famously broke while gliding downhill at the first MUni Weekend. Scroll to the bottom of this page to see his picture.

Yeah, that site is a scam. When I was buying my PVGS320 I looked there and found out it was. I ended up buying from www.vanns.com. Good service, got here quick, $400.

yeah my dad thought it was…so now im gonna hafta wait till i get a little bit more money…ill prolly get one of the packages on ebay and prolly a kenko fisheye…thatl be nice
