thats pathetic, its like blocking it because there is a video that is anti-unicyclist as they depict us all as clowns. it should be up to the users what they dont want to go on, not the government.
Is almost like the rest of the world is being scapegoated for one persons stupidity.
But if you lived in Pakistan couldn’t you just use an IP proxy where the server is located in another country?
nah, the shut down was world wide. Uk youtube was affected by the block.

I was wondering why I couldn’t access it yesterday, but how the heck can Pakistan, or any other country block youtube here in th USA??? 
It could have had something to ddo with the way the servers were set up.
The cause was BGP routing done in Pakistan that got picked up elsewhere. Basically, the BGP routing for youtube covered a large range, and a Pakistan ISP took a portion of that range and gave a more precise route, which other ISPs picked up and used since it was more precise. Youtube took back control within a couple hours.
