i just maintenenced my Spyder MR1(took out the bolt and velocity adjuster out and cleaned and lubed them) and went out and dry fired it in my back yard a few times and its really quiet now for some reason. it was REALLY loud even w/o a barrel beforehand. now its super quiet wo a barrel on. did me taking the velocity adjuster make it just shoot really slow? i also tried adjusting the velocity, but it didnt sound like it was shooting any harder. what did i just do? my setup is a mr1 w/ a sp progressive barrel and a 12 oz tank if you needed to know. can you guys help me here?
u have co2 right?
i have co2, but it might be a little low…
CO2 doesn’t get “low” it gets “out.” CO2 is used in liquid form in paintball guns and pellet guns. It boils at a constant pressure of 900psig at room temperature. When there is no more liquid the pressure drops EXTREMELY quickly.
Have you tried actualy firing a paintball? I remember I did a full maintenance to mine once and I put a valve in backwards. The balls just rolled out the barrel, took me FOREVER to figure it out too because there were no markings saying whether the part was supposed to go in one way or the other and it fit really nicely backwards.
I might be going to a friends b/day party at paintball skirmish, since it’s my first time I was wondering how much getting shot hurts? Give me a comparison, like ant bite or a kick or something.
OMG it hurts so bad!!! its like getting punched over and over agin by a heavy weight boxer. I recomendd u wear like 4 sweatshiirts and 6 pairs of jeans.
not really
its not that bd atually, you will probally have a few welts the next mroing tho lol
The ones that hurt most are the ones that bounce off you, they will sting for maybe 30 seoncds and leave a 2" purple bruise for about a week. The ones that burst (which is most of them) aren’t too bad, except if they hit you on the knuckles, alot of places loan/sell padded gloves because of this. Getting shot in the face doesn’t hurt at all.
dude, it hurts about as much as being snapped with a towel, now being shot without a shirt on hurts pretty bad, but its kinda funny to watch people be shot when they dont got a shirt on…
It’s supposed to hurt. It’s not like real bullets or anything but it still offers incentive.
O man, paintball is a bunch of fun. I like it mainly because I can add things onto my gun. I have a Tippmann 98 custom, one of the most widely available guns out there. I just love buying something new, taking apart my gun, and adding it on. Or tinkering with the internal parts to make it work better. I just love to see how it all works. Actually using the gun is secondary in my mind to the fun I get my adding, subtracting, or changing things in or on my paintball gun.
My gun has a 16" barrel, a fancy new hopper, a double trigger, a remote gas system (that took alot of effort to make it work), an M-16 style retractable stock, and I’ve refined the internal parts so that it fires faster and more efficiently. I don’t think I can add anything more on lol.
The good part to all this is that anyone going against me is immediately scared, my gun looks absolutely beastly. The barrel and stock make it super accurate, and the trigger, hopper, and internals make it shoot really fast. I love it
I just wish I could get out and use it more often lol
That re-assures my, I was going to wear a shirt anyway, thanx for the advice. The party is next weekend.
