PA bound!

I just landed a nice job in State College, PA.

What’s going in the uniycle scene there? Any local or regional clubs? What kind of riding do folks do around there?

Thanks!
Blake

Wahoo, you go, girl! All the best in your new job and environment. Now there will truly be Bears in Pennsylvania.

Re: PA bound!

Well theres a chess camp going on next week there. I won’t be going, but you could ride over and try to teach them how to ride!

there’s two groups of riders, who call themselves SWAT and something like Unicycle PA I think…they’re both trials riding groups as far as I know, but, yeah. do a search on the forum and see what you can find…

Re: PA bound!

I am the unicycle scene there for the most part. I attend college there, and am one of few serious riders.

The Great ObieOne:
Whew! I won’t be the first unicyclist the Amish have contended with. Just kidding. I guess that wasn’t politically correct, but the Amish may never find out…

So, you are the unicycle scene? That’s good for you, but kind of pathetic for the town. I was just in State College for my interview and it seemed like a great place for Coker and Muni. Is there a juggling club with any unicycle riders? I juggle some, too.

I hope to run into you there. You’ll probably see me on campus this fall if I have the nerve to ride in public. I have a coker and a Nimbus 20" with red rim and a orange hookworm AND the big clue it’s me is I’ll be on a unicycle!

Hey there MercyMe, thanks for the suggestion. I’m not in PA yet, soon, tho. I imagine Chess players might be interested in riding. I played a lot of Chess when I was younger. Very intense game. Good for the mind and soul.

Thanks, I’ll look 'em up!

Thanks, Bruce. Feels great to have a job… I guess!

I’ll be up at Penn State Erie in 2 years for my freshmen and sophomore years at least, but depending on what I get into I’ve thought about transfering to main after that… and if the unicycle scene there grows you can count on another person to be a part of it.

Obie One, what year are you in?
