Other unicycling apparel/products

The thread I started about getting more unicyclist.com t-shirts sparked some ideas for other products, so I am wondering what kind of products you would like? Here are some ideas: hats, shorts (and cycling shorts), cycling jerseys, socks, jackets, boxers, stickers, keychains, dress shirts, beach towels, mugs/steins, gym bags, mousepads, etc.

Anyways, I’d be interested in what there is demand for. The main problem with making products like t-shirts (and most other unicycling products) is that theres not much demand for it since unicycling isn’t that big of a sport and usually you need to get them made up in large quantities (unless you want to pay a lot).

Anti-gravity vests in bright colors. I know…see your April Fools Day article.

The technology for that product to be made is not available to the public yet in any sort of product.

Re: Other unicycling apparel/products

All good ideas. My favorites are hats, cycling shorts, keychains, and mugs.

If you could get a good quality cycling jersey for a reasonable price, with
a cool picture (perhaps the one on your “ET” shirt). If you could get word
to people in the bicycling community, you might be able to sell some there.

Other things I’d consider, polo style shirt, with a small, simple logo on
it. Baseball cap would work well like that also. (If there were any text,
I’d keep it small)

And of course, keep working on new T-shirt ideas

I’m all for cycling shorts and polo shirts. I have enough unicycling
T-shirts to clothe a poor country…

Hey Harper, isn’t that your department? Maybe you can work on that after you complete the epicyclic hub. Yep, We gotta keep ya buisy.

I’ll never stop making new t-shirt designs.

For this summer, I hope to have two new designs printed up. The “Language of Unicycling” one which is currently shown on gilby.com and in development, and then one with the theme “Never 2 tired” that will be different than the one called that from 1996 (I’ve had some requests for that 1996 one, and it’s a good theme). This is in addition to the other (bi-)yearly shirts I make (Expert competitor, TeamUSA, etc.).

I would like to have a decal of Calvin of Calvin and Hobbes fame riding a unicycle that I can affix to the back of my car window along with the “I’d rather be riding my unicycle” license plate frame that I already have.

BTW, anyone know if any such decal exists?

Work the maze.

I’m for the bike shorts and polo ideas in particular.

I’d also be cool to have a warm-up jacket/windbreaker with something embroidered on it perhaps…

And…yeah…I’m for the “Never 2 Tired” design as well.

Looking forward to the debut of “Language of Unicycling”, Gilby.

Hooded sweatshirts… with hoods big enough to actually fit over your
head -
yes please.

Um… Level 11 condoms perhaps? Not embroidered though

mouse mat. I have a tea towel from a BUC. Even my mum has a unicycle mug
and mouse mat, my gran only has the mug.

How about stealing the “One Less Car” design
<http://www.transalt.org/about/onelesscar.html>, except use “One Less
Wheel”?

my grand mother buys me boxer shorts for my birthday as sort of an inside joke, so i would definatly ask for some unicycle boxers next year. in fact i would probably buy them as soon as they were on the market. adn i would also be quik to buy a uni hat. oo oooo and a mousepad, i want a mousepad.

an idea: perhaps Iron-on-patches with a unicycle on them?

another idea: welcome mats?

Bill watterson does not license Calvin and hobbes
merchindise. Any shirt sticker whatever with calvin
and or hobbes on it is a rip off. So unless someone
wants to illeagaly produce that stuff, its not ganna
happen. I personaly am against it happening (im a huge
Calvin and Hobbes fan) but if it does, id buy one.
Fuzzy logic.

Im interested in hats, both baseball, and knit (took,
beanie, winter, ect. names abound). Stickers im sure
would be great, and inexspensive to prouduce. Ive
often wished unicycle.com would give away stickers
with their orders, besides just on the unis. A jersey
would also be nice, but exspensive.

While were on the subject… Any one want a custom
unicycle case/ backpack! Its 100% padded. Made entirly
out of duct tape except for padsdding. Snap closure,
larege back pocket, key chain, very comfortable to
wear. fits 24" wheel, take off pedals first. Very Very
nice. I hiked a few miles wearing it with no trouble.
Make me an offer.

good… that’s cleared up… I didn’t know that beanie was another word
for
toque… All i could imagine was one of those propeller beanies like on
calvin
and hobbes…

An athletic support would be great.

Christopher

Stickers…
Send them with every order you have… people can put them on their car
bumpers…

Oded.
