When you think of where trials unicycling started, the name George Peck forces its way to the front of your mind. But trials has been around before Peck started hopping around on one wheel.
A while ago, I was listening to Loveline (a national radio show). Guests on the show where pro BMX riders who where promoting the X-games.
In a discussion of balance, host Adam Corolla stated that balance was more a question of being used to how something feels. Corolla spoke of unicycling in his youth, and said that his balance was no better than anyone else but was just used to the feeling of being on one wheel. He then talked about having ridden off of loading docks and picnic tables.
Imagine where we would be today if we had a way to share ideas (internet forums) back then (late 70’s?) like we do now.
