Oregon Muni on Deserted Barrier Island in NC

This is footage from my 1st ride last week on Masonboro Island Reserve. It’s a 10 minute drive and 30 minute paddle from my house in Wilmington, NC. The riding is not so great as I was riding quite cautiously. No pads and alone on a deserted island made me hesitant to try stuff I really wanted to like riding the length of those logs, hopping rock to rock and riding a longer section of that sea wall.

My intentions were to ride 17 miles, end to end but I was distracted by the obstacles I discovered and the tide was coming in quickly leaving no solid place to roll. Still, such an awesome place to ride and well worth the effort of paddling the uni over.

Great video. What a beautiful place. Nice camera too.

Thanks Claude. Funny you mention the camera, this was the last thing shot with it, ever. When I was getting out of my kayak I forgot it was rolled up in my bandana in my lap and it went swimming in salt water. It’s 2.5 years old and been to almost 20 countries so I’m ok with that, haha. $250 Cannon Power Shot Elph does great for the price. See you soon in PA!

Sorry to hear about the camera. :frowning:

Really great, looks like a fun place to visit. Sorry about your camera James.

very good! looks like a blast! sorry for the camera but reason to get a gopro

Thanks for the excellent Oregon vid! It’s a really treat to be reminded how unique that uni is. True one of a kind! Also nice to see a unicycling video that had a meditative pace, calm and collected…
Cheers!

Beautifully done, man. That’s a very relaxing video to watch and listen to. Nice one
