Up for sale is my used Oregon. I’m the original owner and purchased it in August 2013. Last year while climbing a tough hill I heard a metallic sound from the frame and then I noticed a hairline crack.
The frame is cracked where the left front leg meets the seat tube. It’s a hairline crack, not completely separated and a friend flux welded it. See pics before and after welding. Not too pretty but it seems to work. Anyway buyer beware - you have been warned.
Other items worth mentioning:
- Shimano XT disc brake - this is considerably more powerful than the stock Tektro.
- Seat post is approximately 11 inches long.
- KH Freeride saddle.
- Nimbus Venture 2 150mm cranks.
- Green tape applied over stock rim strip for even more green appeal.
- Surly Nate tire with about 80% tread remaining.
There are typical cosmetic scuffs and scrapes that one would expect from 2 years of muni but it rides well - very solid.
