I am going to watch open heart surgery!!! I have been looking forward to this all year. Wish me luck!
Good luck! Are you going to school for this?
Perhaps better to hope you enjoy but wish the patient luck.
Just make sure you don’t bring any Junior Mints with you!
I was thinking the same thing. Unless he’s performing it or the recipient of the proceedure, the only luck he needs is if he thinks he’s going to puke or otherwise react badly.
I think this is a situation where skill is more important than luck.
Yes, I think it’d be a lot easier to watch an open heart surgery without puking than the police helicopter ride I took on Monday. Definitely wishes for best of success for the patient!
And no, I wasn’t under arrest. The Sacramento County Sheriff’s helicpoters very rarely land at crime/emergency scenes, they’re there to see what’s hard to see from the ground, and provide directions. But they fly in tight little circles! Around, and around, and around. Whew! Takes getting used to. Jacquie “bought” me the flight at a charity auction for my birthday. It was very cool to see their operation and go for the ride, though I asked to return to base after about 1:15 in the air, about 15 minutes short of the available mission fuel.
Yes, I took pictures (duh). These even have captions; a rarity for me!
John, are those fish I see in your swimming pool?
You have a keen eye! We have two dolphins in our pool, done in tile. One is playing with a ball. I went digging through all these backyard pictures from over the years, but I couldn’t find any where the water was still, because I generally only take pictures of the pool when there are people in it. Finally found this one, from just a couple of weeks ago! It was Jacquie’s “Polar Plunge” contest from our Easter party. Contestants had to run from the front of the house, around the side, crowd up at the pool gate and be first into the pool to win a prize. The weather was warm, but the pool is still COOOOLD!! But I think five or six people ended up jumping in anyway. Not my idea of a good time…
Open heart sugery! Lucky!! I’d love to see that! I’m pre-med and I watch surgeries online a lot, but I haven’t been able to actually see a real surgery yet! Enjoy it!
