oops I fell agian

Hi there, Your know there are things that you do that you should not. I went out
to pick up a meal last night from the Chinese take-away in the village! I took
my coker and forgot to tuck in my laces and also forgot to put on my wrist
guards… I blasted along at my normal speed of about 16mph… do I need say
more! It would not have been so bad, but it was my right lace that caught so it
threw me down on my right side and I landed on my wrist/side. My wrist is
swelling nicely and hurts. At least when I go in to hospital on the 5th of
January to have it operated on there will be no need to re-break the bone! So I
am feeling sorry for my self and embarrassed about forgetting to tuck my laces
or put my wrist guard on. It is probably the first time I have ridden since the
summer without either a cast on my arm or a wrist guard on. Cokers with 110
cranks are great fun, but do wear wrist guards even if your wrist is not broken!

Cheers

Roger

I too, fell victim to my shoelaces a couple months ago while cruising on my
Coker at my University. I was riding along in the cycling lane on the side of
the road and felt a little pull on my shoe, but it was too late. I soon saw
myself on the ground, my hand gushing with blood and my shoelace, shoe, tcuc
jacket and jeans were all torn. The rest of the lace was wrapped around the
axle. I had to scrub the cut on my hand with a toothbrush to get all the dirt
out (if you scrub long enough, it doesn’t hurt anymore). I still have a little
scar on my hand and now every time I hop on my Coker I check to make sure that
my shoelaces are tucked in.

That’s a lot of unicyclists to have on a basketball court all at once. I can
only imagine how hard it is to have the show organized with that many people.
But, I bet it looked great!
