Does anyone know of a program similar to google maps, where you can draw lines on a map, that don’t necesarily follow roads or paths, and will then tell you how far the route you have drawn will be?
I searched through the forum and I got pretty close but I was still either limited to roads and paths or I had to pay money. I googled for such a thing but I was getting the same results.

Just use a regular map out of one of those Mapsco books and do some math with the scale. I’m sure they have versions of those maps online, too - the scale is there for a reason.
And Lo!, the Gmaps Pedometer came to pass, and it was excellent.

I’ve done that kind of thing with google earth. I just have the free version. It’s got a line and path measure-er.
I can’t save the paths tho.
