One year ago today...

… a brown truck delivered a box from unicycle.com

and my life changed forever.

Saturday, October 18th is my one year anniversary.

One year ago today, I could barely sit on a unicycle holding on to a support. Now, I MUni on rocky trails where it doesn’t even seem possible that a unicycle could go. It took me weeks to be able to make it to the end of the driveway. Now I can ride for miles. Yet I still have so much to learn. I’m just a beginner at MUni. And I still can’t quite idle.

I’ve had so much fun and I’ve met so many wonderful people, both here and in person. And it just keeps getting better and better.

I’m going to spend my anniversary at a meeting of the New York Unicycle Club! And Sunday is the ride in Pennsylvania, where I will have the honor of meeting more unicyclists.

Unicycling and unicyclists are the best! I thank you all!

that’s great.

I look forward to your post on Oct 18, 2004

Congratulations on a great year!

What do you have planned for the anniversary present?

love the quote uni57

monday will be my one week anniversary! hehe

Well, I bought a knapsack for MUni’ing. My older knapsack flops around too much when I hop. The new one has a hip belt, so it is tied more securely.

But best of all, there was a New York Unicycle Club meeting on the day of my anniversary. And I was blessed with a great parking space! (a rare occurrence, indeed!) It was on the street very close to the meeting location. It was sooooo convenient, as I had to make several trips to the car.

The catch? I got a parking ticket. $105.00 USD. Ouch!

I honestly did not know that No Standing also means No Parking. So, my anniversary gift to myself was a pricey (and oh-so-convenient) parking space! Happy Anniversary, me!

hmmmm…

Did you say you rode in Pennsylvania? was that in Leola at the Tour da Leola?? If it was I was there, but I don’t know if I met you. I was the guy who was wayyyyyyy behind in the ride, I had a good time though.
