I think I’ve seen a similar unicycle article here but I don’t think it was this one.
Re: One wheeled Segway
I was just talking with a friend today about whether a motorised BC could
work on a similar principle. We weren’t sure but it’d surely be fun
Cheers,

I just saw this appear on Digg, so I guess it’s suddenly making the rounds again. Too bad that it’s very old news.
The link in that post even links to the same website.
One Wheeled Segway
I have seen some designs for a one wheeled segway in a magazine article, unfortunately I can’t remember which magazine or what date. I suppose the question is “is it possible?” One wheels provides the designer with a much bigger challenge than two.
If your interested in learning more about this “one-wheeled segway”, or Self-Balancing Unicycle as it is more properly known, Trevor Blackwell, the machine’s inventor, will be appearing in the next episode of Uniplex. Episode 2 will be posted probably the middle of next week.
I never said it was new news! Just that I hadn’t seen it before.
I havent seen that same link before, but I saw some other guy posted it on gizmodo, but other then that i haven’t seen any others
